Celebs at the Academy Awards hit the red carpet in their brightest gowns giving us a glimpse of what to expect in a post-pandemic world.
1. Bright Colours are in Vogue
IMAGE: Zendaya flaunted some serious skin in a radiant yellow Valentino Haute Couture dress.
The actress channeled Cher vibes with her long locks worn in curls and left loose.
The chiffon dress, named Force de beaute, was designed specially for Zendaya by Valentino Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli.

2. Time to Embrace the Orchid Hue

The custom-made gown featured a sweetheart neckline and an exaggerated bow detail at the waist.
3. Everyone Loves Gold
IMAGE: Gold was a popular theme on the red carpet this year and Andra Day nailed the brief in a Vera Wang gold silhouette.
The best actress nominee looked like a disco diva in the figure-hugging, cutout gown that featured a thigh-high slit.
4. Paint the Town Red
IMAGE: Go bold or go home seems to be Amanda Seyfried's motto who cut an impressive picture on the red carpet with her hibiscus red Giorgio Armani Prive gown.
The strapless ballroom tulle had a deep v-neckline accented by tulle ruffles and a sweeping, full skirt.
5. Monochrome Head-to-Toe
IMAGE: Like Ariana DeBose, most of the celebs who walked the red carpet opted for gowns in single colours.
The actress turned heads in an asymmetrical Versace gown in vivid orange.
The micro-pleated gown was accentuated with crystals along the draping.
6. The Veiled Look
IMAGE: H.E.R -- winner of the Oscar for Best Song for Fight For You from Judas And The Black Messiah -- paired her cobalt blue embellished jumpsuit with a matching hooded cape by Dundas.
The singer rounded off the look with a pair of sunglasses.
7. Power Suits Redefined
IMAGE: Tiara Thomas walked the Oscars red carpet in a Jovana Louis white jumpsuit with a plunging neckline.
Wearing her hair in braids, she accentuated the look with diamonds and glossed-up lips.
