Model-author-host Padma Lakshmi is a huge fan of street food.

In a candid interview with Travel + Leisure India, the Top Chef host reveals her favourite food joints in New York City.

'I like to find a street cart vendor or a food truck around Central Park...there's falafel, hot dogs, waffles and ice cream, all right there in front of the Plaza Hotel,' she says.

'One of the other places I like to go and eat is Chinatown. You can find amazing dimsums, including vegetarian and Vietnamese ones.'

For the cover, Padma wows in a yellow off-shoulder gown with a layered hemline.

She completed the look with minimal accessories and a 100 watt smile.

Unveiling the cover, the mag wrote: 'She started out as a model, tried her hand at acting, and is now a celebrated cookbook author.

'Emmy-Award winning host and producer of Top Chef, Padma Lakshmi is a force to reckon with in the culinary world, especially in the New York City, where she lives.'
