After a trip to Kenya's Samburu National Reserve, Doutzen Kroes fell in love with elephants.
On her Elle USA cover, she joins Naomi Campbell, Gisele Bundchen and Anja Rubik in doing her bit for the environment.
Poaching is decimating the elephant population, and model Doutzen Kroes chose her latest cover to raise the issue.
Baring is all, the model flaunts her elephant knot on Elle USA's July 2019 cover.
After a trip to Kenya’s Samburu National Reserve, Doutzen came back with so much anger, but also so much awareness about how she had to put a stop to the poaching of elephants.
Post-trip, she signed on as a global ambassador for the charity, @knotonmyplanet.
'Human beings tie knots to not forget about things, and elephants are known to never forget about anything,' she says. 'But we are forgetting about them.'
Styled by Ilona Hamer, the cover has been photographed by Chris Colls.
For their July issue, Elle partnered with @conservationorg to highlight the urgency to act on climate change.
