Brazilian model Valentina Sampaio makes history by becoming Victoria Secret's first trans model.

Victoria's Secret has got its first transgender model.

Valentina Sampaio, a Brazilian transgender model, was cast for a catalogue photo shoot for VS Pink.

The 22-year-old shared a picture on Instagram from the sets of the shoot.

IMAGE: Valentina shared this pic from her photo shoot for HOPE Oficial, a lingerie brand.

'Backstage click,' she captioned the picture, where she is seen dressed in a white bathrobe.

The news has been well-received by other VS models. Lais Ribeiro tweeted in congratulating Sampaio.

'First transgender to shoot with VS. This makes me so happy,' she wrote.

'Wow finally!' added transgender actor Laverne Cox.

The newly minted VS model has over 2,65,000 followers on Instagram.

In 2017, she became the first transgender model to grace the cover of Vogue Paris.

IMAGE: We'd like to see her walk the VS ramp. However, that doesn't seem like a possibility with the lingerie brand scraping their runway show.

But never in her wildest dreams did she think that the lingerie brand would cast her.

'Never stop dreaming,' Valentina wrote as she shared a video from the VS shoot.
