Host Sandra Oh killed it at the awards show with her fashion game.

Sandra Oh is the first Asian to win the Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series award.

She is also the first Asian to host a major American awards show.

And she did something really special on the Golden Globes red carpet.

Sandra's chose to wear only female designers for the night.

She kicked off the awards with a trio of incredible yet meaningful gowns.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Sandra's stylist Elizabeth Saltzman explained the choice behind the gowns.

She said: 'I decided to think of things that would make her feel confident and empowered and beautiful.'

'She's wearing all female designers, but that’s not a statement from her or from me. It was a way for me to think about her and how I respect her,' the stylist told People magazine.

The duo chose Donatella Versace and Stella McCartney to dress Sandra.

'I don't know a more fearless, bold person who works harder than Donatella,' Saltzman said in the interview.

As for McCartney, she helped them create 'the most amazing kapow! dress'.
