Several modelling hopefuls have auditioned for the Lakme Fashion Week's autumn/winter instalment next month.
Twenty new faces have been selected, of which only eight will make it to the runway.
As part of an ongoing series, we spoke to finalists Pallavi Singh, Bindya Talluri and Arry Dabas. Today, Get Ahead brings you a first look at another new face:
Twenty three-year-old Mumbai boy Neeraj Waghela works in a call centre and dreams of pursuing an MBA degree next year. He has also been modelling for three years now and has appeared in campaigns for Brylcream and Jeevansaathi.com.
"I first walked the ramp when I was in college and thoroughly enjoyed the experience," he says."Given a chance, I would like to make modelling a fulltime career. I haven't done anything major in the field of fashion yet, but I do believe that there are some great things in store for me in the near future."
And what if he doesn't make it to the LFW? "Well, modelling is an unstable profession," Neeraj explains. "If you make it big, it's great. But if you don't, you need to have a back-up plan. That's why I'm doing my MBA -- in case modelling doesn't work out for me."
With a win-win attitude like that, it looks like this dude may just have the confidence needed to strut on the ramp, what say?
