Simple yet healthy waffle recipes for breakfast

Presenting recipes of homemade fluffy waffles with an extra touch of goodness. 

Gluten free waffle with banana 

Ingredients:

  • 1 banana
  • 2 eggs
  • 300 ml almond milk
  • 5 ml pure vanilla extract
  • 2 gm cinnamon powder
  • 90 gm jaggery
  • 400 gm oatmeal powder

Method:

  • Take a blender. Put all the ingredient in it and blend for a few seconds till the mixture gets a smooth consistency. Let the batter rest for about 10 minutes to give the oat flour time to soak up all the moisture.
  • While the batter rests take this time to heat and grease your waffle maker and then you're all set. Cook the waffles for around 5 minutes. Once there is no longer steam coming from the waffle maker, the waffles are generally ready to remove. For a crispier crust, leave them for a minute or two longer before removing. Serve with papaya sauce and honey. These waffles are good enough to eat plain, but are especially delicious topped with extras like berries, chopped nuts, almond or peanut butter, whipped cream, powdered sugar, jelly, syrup, chocolate. 

Wheat flour waffles

Ingredients:

  • 300 ml soya milk
  • 90 gm jaggery
  • 45 ml olive oil
  • 5 gm vanilla extract
  • 5 gm baking powder
  • 2 gm salt
  • 400 gm wheat flour

Method:

  • Take a blender and put all the ingredient in it. Blend it for few seconds till the mixture gets a smooth consistency. Let the batter rest for about 10 minutes.
  • Grease your waffle maker and cook the waffles for around 5 minutes. Serve with pineapple sauce and peanut butter.

Ragi flour waffles

Ingredients:

  • 300 ml soya milk
  • 90 gm jaggery
  • 45 ml olive oil
  • 5 gm vanilla extract
  • 2 gm baking powder
  • 2 gm salt
  • 400 gm ragi flour

Method:

  • Take a blender and put all the ingredient. Blend till the mixture gets the smooth consistency.
  • Grease your waffle maker and cook the waffles for around 5 minutes. Serve with pineapple sauce and maple syrup.

Carrot and wheat vegan waffles

Ingredients:

  • 300 gm wheat flour
  • 2 gm baking powder
  • 100 gm ground flax seeds
  • 2 gm cinnamon
  • 50 gm grated carrot
  • 30 ml almond milk
  • 45 ml melted coconut oil
  • 5 gm vanilla extract
  • 90 gm jaggery
  • 45 ml maple syrup
  • 45 ml coconut cream

Method:

  • Put all the ingredients in a blender. Grease your waffle maker and cook the waffles for around 5 minutes. Serve with carrot sauce.

Chocolate chip and oatmeal waffles

Ingredients:

  • 300 gm oat flour
  • 100 gm coconut flour
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 45 ml coconut oil
  • 1 egg
  • 300 ml almond milk
  • 2 ml vanilla extract
  • 45 gm chocolate chips
  • 5 gm baking powder
  • 2 gm salt

Method:

  • Take a blender and put all the ingredient into it. Blend it for few seconds till the mixture gets the smooth consistency.
  • Grease your waffle maker and cook the waffles for around 5 minutes. Serve with strawberry sauce and maple syrup.

Strawberry and oatmeal waffles

Ingredients:

  • 100 gm strawberry
  • 400 gm oats flour
  • 90 ml honey
  • 5 gm baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 300 ml almond milk

Method:

  • Blend the ingredients. Grease your waffle maker and cook the waffles for around 5 minutes. Serve with strawberry syrup.

Black millet (bajra) flour waffles

Ingredients:

  • 400 gm bajra flour
  • 90 ml honey
  • 2 gm baking powder
  • 300 mk soya milk
  • 2 gm vanilla extract

Method:

  • Take a blender and blend all the ingredients. Grease your waffle maker and cook the waffles for around 5 minutes. Serve with maple syrup and ghee.
