St Stephen's admission process to begin from May 28The admissions to undergraduate courses at St Stephen's college for the 2015-16 academic session will begin on Thursday, May 28.

Earlier this week, Delhi University had announced its admission schedule last week; it will commence online admissions on May 28 on its official website www.du.ac.in.

Meanwhile, minority institutions like St Stephen's and Jesus and Mary College notified their schedule and admission guidelines separately.

"The entire online application process will begin on May 28, 2015 on the college website ststephens.edu.

"The last date for submitting applications is June 15, 2015," college spokesperson Karen Gabriel said.

"Shortlisted candidates based on aggregate of best four subjects will be called for an interview which shall be preceded by an aptitude test of 30-minutes duration.

"These tests carry 5 per cent overall weightage and will be conducted at 7:30 am for candidates who'll be interviewed in the pre-lunch sessions. Those appearing for interviews after lunch will write their tests at 1:30 pm," she added.

The college offers honours courses in economics, English, history, philosophy, Sanskrit, mathematics, chemistry along with the Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Science (BSc) pass courses.

Earlier, the college used to enroll students on the basis of a personal interview and cut-offs announced after Class XII examinations.

"The final selection will be based on composite merit, which comprises class 12 marks (85 per cent weightage), aptitude test (5 per cent weightage) and interview (10 per cent weightage)," Gabriel said.
