These pictures of celebrities adopting strays are paw-dorable!

On December 1, a bunch of celebrities came together to support Adoptathon, one of Asia's largest annual stray adoption camp.

The two-day camp organised by World for All Animal Care and Adoptions for Indian breed of cats and dogs only was held at St Theresa's Boys High School, Bandra, Mumbai.

Adoptathon which started in 2012, brings together adoption coordinators, veterinary doctors, animal behaviourists, animal food vendors, animal accessories vendor, pet boarding kennels under one roof.

Soha Ali Khan who attended the event with her husband Kunal Khemmu explained why everyone should support the cause.

"I have adopted two dogs before and this year I am here to support this wonderful cause. My mother who was not fond of dogs before, now has dogs and adores them. There are 180 healthy and vaccinated dogs and cats up for adoption and it's a pleasure to see them find their forever homes. Kunal and I have been a part of World for All For a very long time and it is definitely a delight for us see how well it grows every year."

Here are some pictures from the event:

Actor Nandish Sandhu attended the event for the first time.
'Pure innocence and love. Pls adopt pets. If space doesn’t permit at home, you can adopt a pet on the street itself by taking responsibility for its food and well being. Be kind,' he wrote on his Instagram.
