Druta pawanmuktasana (Dynamic energy-release pose)

April 23, 2009
Lie on your back. Fold your legs at the knees. Inhale and pass both hands around your knees. Exhaling, hug them to your body while lifting head to reach your chin between your knees. Continue breathing normally, holding the pose.

Then gently rock back and forth, deepening the rock so that your feet touch the floor every time you reach forward. Rock 10 times initially and increase it to 30 slowly, after regular practice.

Benefits: Is very soothing to the gut. It is also a cure-all pose which heals or helps control most problems of digestion, the uro-genital system, spinal disorders (for which you must not lift your neck, at least initially), obesity, diabetes and blood pressure. It relieves constipation. Removes stress.
