Dinner on the ramparts of a fort

The waiters were dressed as if they were in a king's darbar. While I was looking around, the person serving us came up and softly offered some nuggets on the history of the fort. He showed no signs of expecting a tip.

I just had to take pictures. And I did.

The thali food tasted virutally home made and was laced with lots of ghee. The strawberry ice cream was disappointing. We were expecting an Indian dessert like a Kheer, Gulab Jamuns or Kulfi. I reasoned that maybe because only one other table was occupied that evening, it would have been a waste for the restuarant to have stocked a range of sweet dishes.
