What: The British Council invites applications from young Indian entrepreneurs working in the music industry to compete for the 2008 Young Music Entrepreneur award.

About the award
Designed to identify and support emerging enterprises, the award will enable the Indian winner to travel to the UK to network with music industry professionals, attend music events, and be in the running for a financial award of GBP 7,500 linked to the UK.
Who can apply
Entrepreneurs between 25 and 35 years working in any of the following music sectors: Record companies; Artists & Repertoire (A&R); producing, recording, engineering; music licensing, and distribution Venue and/or festival programming and management Artists management and agents Music broadcasting Music journalism and publishing Music development & management Music marketing; public and media relations Music retail; online (including digital) and high street outlets Consultants offering specialist services in any of these areasHow to apply
