Devbagh: An idyllic island getaway

A motor boat took us to the island where a battery operated vehicle was waiting to take us to our cottage. Having a solar powered vehicle would have made it really eco friendly, I thought.

Airfare for Rs 599 and less!

We freshened up and set out to explore the beach. The endless stretch of pristine sand is one of the finest along coastal Karnataka in terms of cleanliness, personal space and beauty, the swaying casuarinas and the blue waters of the Arabian Sea making it an unforgettable sight.

In the evening there was a bonfire barbeque where we had spicy, delicious Vegetable Bonda and Pakoda. Dinner was okay. The seafood, I believe, is really good here: crabs, fish, shells... But I wouldn't know, since I am a vegetarian.
