'I had a huge crush on Abhay'

How was it working with Abhay?

I saw Socha Na Tha and had a huge crush on Abhay. So when I got chance to work with him, I was more than happy. I did a lot of theatre work in Chandigarh before coming to Mumbai, so my performance was very loud. He was the one who taught me how to act in front of the camera.

He also taught me how to hold a cigarette correctly. There's this scene where I have to smoke. But I didn't even know how to hold a cigarette. The minute I would take a puff, I would start coughing. Abhay taught me how to do it the right way.

Did you and Kalki ever fight?

Never. I don't know why girls fight. Maybe because they are insecure, I don't know. Though we had just one scene together, Kalki was always on the sets as this was her first film and she wanted to learn. We always wished we had more scenes together.

What are your forthcoming films?

After Dev D, there is Gulal, where I have special appearance. I play Kay Kay Menon's mistress. Then there is UTV's comedy Aage Se Right opposite Shreyas Talpade. Then there is a period drama called Pan Singh Tomar with Irrfan Khan.
