Movie star Jude Law [Images] was reportedly arrested for attacking a photographer on Tuesday. An Associated Press report on Wednesday, however, said the actor denied the arrest.

The 34-year-old actor has been given bail, said a report in The Independent. The British daily also quoted the photographer as telling entertainment news agency Wenn that he was not clicking pictures of the BAFTA-winning actor when Law accused him of being a paedophile and attacked him.

Law has been reported to be very protective of his three children, and does not like them being photographed. His lawyer told AP that Law had 'provided the police with a statement regarding his denials of allegations by a paparazzi photographer against him and made his own allegations concerning the photographer.'

The incident occurred on Tuesday, the same night when Law -- whose credits include films like Closer, Cold Mountain and Aviator and who won the BAFTA for The Talented Mr Ripley -- presented Michael Caine with a lifetime achievement award at a GQ magazine ceremony in London [Images].
