Nandita was accompanied by her husband, Soumya Sen, wearing a smart black bandhgala suit.

Nandita's silk sari, with a discreet gold zari border, has been designed by Anuradha Vakil, who has created a collection of rich texture saris in sensuous fabrics for Nandita. You can look forward to seeing the actress in orange, mustard, rust, coral reds, deep reds and off-whites.

Nandita will also sport a collection of stylised churidars, crinkled shirts and tunics with trousers by designer Namrata Joshipura.

The actress was invited to be on the jury in early April.
