Take a look at the distinguished panel that wwww.washingtonpost.com said looked like the guest list for a dinner party!

  • Nandita Das, who has acted in films like Deepa Mehta's Fire, Rakesh Mehra's Aks and Jug Mundhra's Bavandar.

  • Javier Bardem, who starred in Alejandro Amenabar's Spanish film The Sea Inside, which won the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film.

  • Toni Morrison, who won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1993, for her work which showcases what the Nobel Foundation calls 'an essential aspect of American reality' -- exploring black women in a racist culture.

  • Emir Kusturica, Palme d'Or winner for the multilingual film Zivot Je Cudo (Life Is A Miracle), in 2004. He is the jury president at Cannes this year. He said at the press conference, "We are not, for sure, going to have pathetic decisions."
