A wedding to remember

Everybody loves a wedding. And if it is a Bollywood wedding, so much the better. Randhir Kapoor and Babita's daughter Karisma Kapoor's marriage to childhood friend and Delhi businessman Sunjay Kapur was a high-profile affair.

Right from what she wore and the wedding menu, from the order of ceremonies to the guest list, everything became the object of intense media speculation, rediff.com included.

The wedding took place at her grandfather Raj Kapoor's home, R K Cottage in north central Mumbai.

Karisma made a pretty bride in pink, gold, silver, diamonds and sequins. Designer Manish Malhotra created her trousseau.

There was no dearth of tinsel power at the wedding. The Kapoors have enough in their ranks, of course: grand-uncles Shammi and Shashi, uncle Rishi Kapoor, kid sister Kareena Kapoor… Salman Khan, Govinda, Vivek Oberoi, Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Kumar, Twinkle Khanna, Akshaye Khanna, Jackie Shroff and Tabu came in to bless the couple.

Absent at the wedding were the Bachchans. Earlier this year, Karisma and Abhishek Bachchan broke off their engagement apparently because of irreconcilable differences between the families.
