The storyline of Aankhen has been adapted from a Gujarati play named Andhalo Pato (Blindman's bluff) by Aatish Kapadia. He has now developed the play into a full-length motion film.

The film was was earlier called All The Best. However, the producer Gaurang Doshi later decided to change it to Aankhen.
