Cinematographer Anil Mehta (he has also filmed Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Ashutosh Gowariker's Lagaan) has captured the rocky terrain of Hampi well, besides erecting elaborate sets like the yagna mandap (the site of the sacrificial pooja).
