Bombay Dreams has successfully captured all of Bollywood's famed formulae, including the popular Ganesh festival.
Ganesh Chaturthi (this Hindu festival falls during the month of August or September) is celebrated with a lot of exhilaration and vivacity in Mumbai. The processions, which are an integral part of the Ganesh idol's immersion in the sea, are accompanied by much music and dance. The frenzy that descends on the city during this period has been beautifully captured in the musical. |
