Director Tanuja Chandra is known for her woman-oriented films. She started off with Pooja Bhatt's Dushman with Kajol and followed with Sangharsh [Preity Zinta] and Yeh Zindagi Ka Safar [Amisha Patel].

Chandra is now making a film starring Juhi Chawla.

Actress-producer Pooja Bhatt won the National Award for the Best Film on Social Issues for her first home production Tamanna.

Her next venture Zakhm won her the National Award again, for Best Film on National Integration

Bhatt's eye for perfection has won her acclaim. For Sur she even had Karnik learn to play the violin.

On the acting front, she will be seen in Rahul Bose's Everybody Says I'm Fine and Jism with John Abraham.
