Music has always been passion for Maqsood Mehmood Ali aka Lucky Ali.

Here, the son of yesteryear comedian Mehmood and one of India's biggest pop stars, plays a proprietor of a music school, Vikramaditya Singh.

However, Sur is not Lucky's debut film. In 1970s, Lucky starred as a hero in avoidable flicks, the only notable one being Shyam Benegal's Trikaal.

Apart from Sur, Lucky's other release this year is Sanjay Gupta's Kaante, a remake of Quentin Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs where he stars with Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Kumar Gaurav, Mahesh Manjrekar and Sunil Shetty.

He will also be seen in Aaj Phir Marne Ka Irada Hai, Tanvir Shah's directorial venture.
