2001 saw Manisha Koirala play a rape victim in Grahan and an unhappily married woman in Lajja.

2002 now sees Koirala on the upswing as an independent woman who lives as she fancies in Company.

Interestingly, Manisha wasn’t the original choice for the role. Varma had earlier decided upon Rinke Khanna. But as the script demanded a mature face, Manisha stepped in.

Company also stars ace photographer Jagdish Mali’s daughter Antara Mali as Vivek Oberoi’s love interest. She had earlier played a bit role in Varma’s Mast.
