I tried to capture Sanjay's life in the photograph. At the time, he was going through a rough path -- drugs, his ex-wife Richa, TADA (Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act).

He went through a bad patch, and was almost shattered. But he has a good soul.

After taking the photograph, I crumpled it. Then I took a photograph of the crumpled one, with the right kind of lighting. This is the effect.
