This song was filmed to add some sizzle in Hera Pheri.
Originally a Raveena number, it fell into Namrata Shirodkar's lap when things soured between Akshay Kumar and Raveena.
It was not required in the film, but it made its mark. Choreographer Ahmed Khan (of Taal) made sure Namrata matched Akshay step for step. A series of item numbers fell into her lap.
She says, "I don't want people to say, 'Haan, dance karana hai, Namrata ko bulao'."
