Filmmaker Ashok Honda hit upon Raveena as the Sheher ki ladki when he ran into problems with leading lady Karisma Kapoor during the making of Rakshak.
And the then newly svelte Raveena was catapulted into limelight almost instantly.
Karisma was hopping mad. Enough to come back with a hotshot Sundara sundara in the same film. Later she admitted that it was this song that gave her a new lease of life during the lean phase in her career.
