Julia Roberts is Best Actress

Julia Roberts' reel-life portrayal of one woman's fight for justice against corruption won her the Best Actress Award at the Oscars.

An overjoyed and overawed Roberts admitted to a "feeling of sisterhood" to be part of the five nominees. And that it is a triumph for her to be included in that haloed nominees' list.

In a stunning black gown with a white piping running down from her neck to the hemline, the now brunette Roberts said that Erin Brockovich was a great experience.

And these are her Oscar-winnning words: "I love the world. I'm so happy. Thank you!"
