When Nikhalje's jeep stops at a signal, he gives away a RPI party cap to a young man wearing a soiled and torn shirt with no pockets. The man wears the cap, and disappears into the crowd.

Whether he will vote for Nikhalje is difficult to know; whether the party that comes to power will do something for the man is even harder to estimate but for now, he is happy getting some protection from the blazing sun.
