April 24 was the last day of campaigning for the second phase of Lok Sabha election. The votes will be cast on April 26. One of the fates to be sealed in the Electronic Voting Machines that day would be of Bollywood star and Congress candidate from Mumbai North Govinda.

Zeroing in on an intense door-to-door campaign on the last day Govinda hit the roads early in the morning.

There is a huge expectation in Congress circles that Govinda would upset the applecart of the well-entrenched Ram Naik, who has represented this constituency five times now.

The Congress and its alliance partner Nationalist Congress Party have left no stone unturned to make Govinda Neta No.1. On April 20, Sonia Gandhi took part in a rally in Vasai and on April 23 NCP chief Sharad Pawar addressed a meet in the actor's support.
