What are the two things that you would like to change about India?

There are too many things that I would like to change. First is the position of women, which is a good indicator of the quality of life in a society.

Improving it will solve a lot of problems. For instance, if you educate a man, you educate an individual. If you educate a woman, you educate a household. And if there are two breadwinners in the family, it would keep poverty at bay.

I am not a feminist. I think men are good in certain things and women in certain things. But women need more respect. There is a huge gender bias. We are talking of 50% of our human resources.

If a woman is secure -- mentally and physically -- she will have offspring with a similar mental makeup.

Which party are you rooting for and why?

I haven't really thought which is the better party. The Hindutva issue in the BJP really worries me while the Congress was in power for 45 years and yet India did not progress at all. Malaysia made progress in just 20 years.
