When the BJP's victory became certain, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Ajit Jogi shut himself inside his official residence, Karuna, in Raipur.
For all the forecasts of a close fight, the BJP did not have to labour too hard for a win. Pollsters had predicted that party would be hit hard by the Dilip Singh Judeo bribe tape.
But that does not seem to have happened with the party bagging 50 seats in the 90-member assembly. The Congress came second with 36 seats.
