Terrorists attacked a polling booth inside Doda's town hall on Tuesday morning just minutes after polling for the fourth and final phase of election in Jammu and Kashmir commenced on Tuesday morning.
Two Central Reserve Police Force jawans and one terrorist were killed in the attack and five others were injured.
Terrorists dressed in police uniforms lobbed hand grenades at the gate of the town hall and opened fire from automatic weapons.
Security forces retaliated and in the exchange of fire one CRPF jawan and a militant were killed, Senior Superintendent of Police Saji Mohan said.
Security forces have cordoned off the area have been able to isolate two terrorists.
