Congressman withdraws from contest
in Lolab

Congress candidate Ghulam Mohiuddin Dar on Sunday withdrew from contest favouring independent candidate Abdul Haq Khan from Lolab constituency in Kupwara district.

Polling in the constituency will take place on Tuesday, October 8.

He said the move was made in order not to divide the opposition votes. The ruling National Conference has fielded Qaiser Ahmed Lone from the constituency.
