The Scindia family's contribution to the architectural splendour of the Gwalior-Guna-Chambal region cannot be overemphasised. These chhatris were built in the memory of Scindia's forefathers in Shivpuri, summer capital of the royal state of Gwalior before its merger with the Union in 1947. The chhatris are located just a stone's throw away from Bombay Kothi, from where the young maharaja is coordinating his campaign. |
