Sachin Tendulkar registered his fifth double hundred on Day 4 of the second Test against Sri Lanka in Colombo on Thursday.

Cricket's highest run-scorer in Test and One-Day Internationals got to the milestone hitting 23 fours and one six.

Tendulkar, who posted his 48th Test hundred on Day 3 of the Test, got to the 50-run mark with a six, and the 100 and 150 with a boundary each. However, his 200 came with a couple off Ajantha Mendis.

It was only the fourth instance -- after Stephen Fleming (274 at PSS), Brian Lara (221 at SSC) and Virender Sehwag (201 at Galle) -- of a foreign player scoring a double hundred on Sri Lankan soil.
