Sri Lankan skipper Kumar Sangakkara on Wednesday replaced Yuvraj Singh as captain of Kings XI Punjab for the third edition of the cash-rich Indian Premier League.

Sources revealed that coach Tom Moody had complained to the owners of the franchise about Yuvraj's attitude problem, saying he continually ignored the team management's advice.

The decision has been reportedly been conveyed to Yuvraj.

Yuvraj led the team in the first two seasons of the IPL. It reached the semi-finals in the first season, but could not replicate that success in the second.

Yuvraj is the fourth captain from among IPL teams to be sacked, the others being Rahul Dravid, V V S Laxman and Sourav Ganguly. Ganguly has, however, been reinstated as skipper of Kolkata Knight Riders.
