The PCB is still waiting to get some information from the Scotland Yard on the initial evidence it has passed on to the Crown Prosecutor's Office in London on the spot-fixing allegations against three Pakistani cricketers.

PCB legal adviser Tafazzul Rizvi said that so far Scotland Yard had not shared any evidence with the board on the case.

"We have just come to know that Scotland Yard has passed on an initial file of evidence to the prosecutor's office, which will decide if there is a case to be made up against the players," he said.

"But so far we don't know what the file is about and until we get a clear statement from the prosecutor's office I can't make anymore comments on it," he said.

Scotland Yard, in its initial file, has indicated that there was a conspiracy to defraud bookmakers and this will be considered by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).

"The Metropolitan Police Service has today delivered an initial file of evidence relating to conspiracy to defraud bookmakers to the Crown Prosecution Service," a Scotland Yard spokesman said.

"The file will now be subject to CPS consideration. This is an initial file and the Met investigation continues."

Four Pakistan players - Salman Butt, Mohammad Asif, Muhammad Amir and Wahab Riaz - have been questioned by the police, and the first three have been suspended by the ICC pending the investigation.

Butt, Amir and Asif were allowed to return to Pakistan by Scotland Yard but sources confirmed their passports were with the interior ministry and if required by the Crown Prosecutor's Office they would have to return to London immediately.

Rizvi also confirmed that the PCB had asked the ICC to review the suspension of the players until the investigations were pending.
