Glenn Maxwell (90 off 38 balls) registered his fourth fifty in IPL 2014. He is the second batsman after Dwayne Smith to score four fifties in the ongoing competition.
# He is the first batsman to post three scores in the nervous 90s in the same edition of the IPL.
# He is also the only batsman to record three scores in the nervous nineties in the IPL.

Punjab the only team to register three totals of 200 against Chennai

Punjab's magnificent 44-run victory is their largest in terms of runs over Chennai in the IPL. They have won five and lost eight out of 14 played against Chennai in the IPL (Tied one) - winning percentage 39.28.
# Their huge total of 231 for four is the highest by any team against Chennai in the IPL, bettering Rajasthan's 223 for five by Rajasthan Royals at Chennai on April 3, 2010.
# They are the only team to register three totals of 200 or more against Chennai in the IPL.
# Punjab is the first team to register totals of 200 or more twice against the same opponent in the same IPL season.
# Their earlier totals of 200 or more against Chennai in the IPL were 207 for four at Mohali on April 19, 2008 and 206 for four at Abu Dhabi on April 18, 2014.
