Gautam Gambhir will lead India in the ODI and T20 series on the upcoming tour of the West Indies after regular skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni asked to be rested.
Suresh Raina will be Gambhir's deputy.
Seniors Sachin Tendulkar and Zaheer Khan have also been rested for the five-match ODI series, beginning June 4, but will play in the Tests that follow.
In the absence of the abovementioned players, Parthiv Patel, S Badrinath, Rohit Sharma, Praveen Kumar, Ishant Sharma, R Vinay Kumar, Amit Mishra and Wriddhiman Saha, who were all not in the triumphant World Cup squad, return to the fold.
