- Scorecard: India v Bangladesh, 1st Test

Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan won the toss and elected to field in the first Test against India at the Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury stadium in Chittagong on Sunday.

India are fielding three seamers and one spinner, as off-spinner Harbhajan Singh was ruled out of the match due to a stiff neck.

Regular skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni was ruled out of the match on Saturday due a back spasm and vice-captain Virender Sehwag is leading the visiting side.

For Bangladesh, pacer Shafiul Islam is making his debut.

The start of the match was delayed by an hour-and-a-half due to fog and dew.

India: Virender Sehwag (capt), Gautam Gambhir, Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman, Yuvraj Singh, Zaheer Khan, Amit Mishra, S Sreesanth, Dinesh Karthik (wk), Ishant Sharma.

Bangladesh: Shakib Al Hasan (capt), Mushfiqur Rahim (wk), Imrul Kayes, Mohammad Mahmudullah, Mohammad Ashraful, Raqibul Hasan, Rubel Hossain, Shafiul Islam, Shahadat Hossain, Shahriar Nafees, Tamim Iqbal.

Field Umpires: Billy Bowden, Marais Erasmus.

Third/TV Umpire: Enamul Hoque Moni.

Fourth Umpire: Sharfuddoula Ibne Shahid.
