Former World T20 champs England have jumped to the second spot in the MRF ICC T20I Team Rankings annual update issued on Monday.
The Eoin Morgan-led England team rose three places after gaining seven points to now sit on 121 points and four points behind table-toppers New Zealand, who have dropped two points (125 points).
Former World T20 champions, India dropped six points to slip to fourth position.
India now on 118 points trail Pakistan by three points.
Pakistan have the same points as (121 points) after gaining five points but is ranked behind the ICC World Twenty20 2010 winner by a fraction of a point.
South Africa has slipped two places to fifth ranking after conceding six points, but is one point ahead of Australia.
Australia have swapped places with reigning ICC World Twenty20 champions, the West Indies, who are 14 points ahead of eighth-ranked Sri Lanka (95 points, down by four). Minnows Bangladesh are 10th on the leaderboard after gaining four points to have a tally of 78 points, while Zimbabwe has retained its 12th rank after gaining three points.
Among the non-Test playing sides, Afghanistan and the Netherlands have moved in opposite directions. Afghanistan gained six points to climb to 90 points to sit in the ninth position, while the Netherlands dropped nine points to slip one place to 14th in the rankings.
