Australian paceman Staurt Clark has hoped that injured fast bowler Brett Lee, who was ruled out of the first four Ashes Tests due to a side strain, will recover soon.
The 33-year-old Clark, who recently admitted that he feared his Test career was dead and buried after repeated snubs from the selectors, said he could well feel the pain of sitting at the hut while colleagues playing on the field.
"Like when I was not playing, it's hard when you're 100 per cent fit and feel like you can do a job, and feel like you can contribute and you're not playing; it's not the best feeling in the world because you want to be out there playing cricket for Australia," he said.
"And Brett's been around long enough to know that his turn will come again and he'll get another go," Clark was quoted as saying in the 'The Age'.
"It's hard when you go around the world, and you're sitting on the sidelines. Brett, like me, he's got a family. Sometimes you've just got to put that out of your head and concentrate on the cricket," he added.
Backing the injured pace bowler, Clark said, "It's the same with all the guys on the sidelines. Brett is in the same position. If all the guys bat well and bowl well, there's nothing we can do about it," he added.
