English all-rounder Andrew Flintoff would be spending the next three months in Dubai recovering from the operation on his right knee.

"It's always easier doing rehabilitation in warm weather and that's the main reason why we've decided to go to Dubai," Flintoff told his website.

The lanky cricketer said he liked the facilities being provided to him Dubai, which was the prime reason why chose the Arab city for his rehabilitation programme.

"I can't drive for at least another six weeks, so it will difficult getting from A to B and doing my rehabilitation without relying on someone else to drive if I stayed in England.

"Where we are staying in Dubai, all I have to do is press the right button in the lift to get from our apartment to the gym and everything I need is on the doorstep,' The Daily times quoted Flintoff, as saying.

Flintoff, 31, retired from Test cricket following his side's historic Ashes win over Australia, to prolong his one-day and T20 career.

However, Freddie had admitted in an interview last week that there were chances that he may never return to competitive cricket.

Flintoff said he is aiming to return to the field ahead of the 2011 World Cup to boost England's chances, but his ambitions received a major set back when it was revealed that he was suffering from deep vein thrombosis in his right calf after the knee surgery.

Sources said he could be sidelined for a minimum of six months.
