Question: What is the highest first-class score made by a non-Test playing batsman.
Answer: The distinction goes to Indian B B Nimbalkar who made an unbeaten 443 for Maharashtra against Kathiawar at Poona in 1948-49. Nimbalkar, who appeared in 80 first-class matches, never played a Test match for India.
