The captain was also involved in crucial partnerships through out the innings.
He put on 52 runs for the second wicket with Virender Sehwag (77) and also added 110 from just 12.2 overs with Suresh Raina (66) for the fourth wicket.
He was named man-of-the-match for his efforts.
