Early morning showers on Monday denied India a much-needed net session but they utilised the time with a two-hour workout at New Zealand Cricket's high performance indoor facility at the Lincoln University campus.
The onus of the training was on fitness, both physical and mental.

Tendulkar took to the nets early on, often walking up to Gary Kirsten and asking him to pitch the ball in a particular position so that he could lean into his shots.
