South Africa retained the squad that lost the Champions Trophy semi-final for the first of the five-match ODI cricket series against India, in Johannesburg on November 19.
The selectors also reposed faith in skipper Graeme Smith [Images], under fire for his indifferent form and tactics, in announcing the 14-member squad.
South Africa made it to the semi-finals of the Champions Trophy in India recently before going down to underdogs the West Indies [Images] in a one-sided encounter.
Also picked was a 15-member Rest of South Africa squad that will take on India in a warm-up game in Benoni on November 16 and a group of four players who would form part of the South African ICC [Images] World Cup training squad.
