Now that her son is in distant South Africa, Savitri Devi "misses him a lot."
"He calls every day at 12 pm and 12 am. On match days he calls me before the start and after the end of the match."
Sreesanth's father believes his son's wonderful showing in international cricket is because of the Almighty's grace.
"It is a proud moment for Kerala and Malayalees everywhere in the world. I am happier because he is a part of a winning Indian team. I just hope he continues to do well and help the team win more matches in the future," he says.
However, brother Dipu is a bit worried.
"He is so fired up, and always looking for wickets. I hope he doesn't get frustrated if he doesn't get an early wicket in the next Test."
