South Africa captain Graeme Smith [Images] won the toss, for the fourth time in a row, and elected to bat in the Twenty-20 cricket match against India in Johannesburg on Friday.

This is the first Twenty-20 game for India since the instant variety was introduced at the international level last year.

Australia defeated New Zealand [Images] by 44 runs in the first match at Auckland on February 17.

The format comprises teams playing an innings of 20 overs in 80 minutes each, with a 20-minute interval between the two innings.

A 'no ball' means the batsman has a free hit the next ball and in case of a tie, the winner would be decided by bowl out which involves players from either side, except the wicketkeeper, having a go at single stump in the middle.

The teams:

South Africa: Graeme Smith (captain), Loots Bosman, AB de Villiers, Herschelle Gibbs [Images], Tyron Henderson, Justin Kemp, Charl Langeveldt, Albie Morkel, Robin Peterson, Roger Telemachus, Johan van der Wath.

India: Virender Sehwag [Images] (captain), Sachin Tendulkar [Images], Mahendra Singh Dhoni [Images], Dinesh Mongia, Dinesh Karthik [Images], Suresh Raina, Irfan Pathan [Images], Harbhajan Singh [Images], Ajit Agarkar [Images], Sreesanth [Images], Zaheer Khan [Images].
